Field Recording
Accurate and Affordable Music in Any Location
I have built a mobile recording rig powerful to record nearly any situation. The idea was created when I was commissioned to record a Christmas CD of a performance of two local churches. I needed a robust rig to capture the brass orchestra, children's choir, pope organ, and solo piano. I also needed a small footprint as the performance had to be the focus rather than microphones and cables. You can hear the result in the Audio Samples section.
I also helped create a mobile rig for Studio 880 to capture a performance by Fall Out Boy at the Warfield. While filling two different needs, I found both rigs to be comparable.

Whether it is a demo to attract major label attention or a band's fifth studio release, I have found it vital that the producer keeps the performers focused on getting great performances and completing the project.
